Find out what’s still open and what’s delivering in your local area so you can get what you need, when you need it.
As lockdown continues into its sixth week, we are looking to create some resources that benefit the local community. We know many local businesses are struggling, so firstly we wanted to highlight ways in which locals can still support them. Meanwhile, many people are struggling to get the things they need because of confusion or lack of information about what’s available still locally.
We aim to kill two birds with one stone by creating this resource of local businesses that are still open in some way, as well as businesses that are delivering straight to your door. If you know of any businesses open or delivering which aren’t on this list, please let us know and we’ll update!
Hopefully this offers some insight for the local community.
Plants:
Chigwell Nursery - Chigwell Nursery has started a delivery service for plants, flowers, garden accessories, etc. You can place orders over the telephone or via an email. They sell everything you need to do your gardens, and you can check out what’s on offer on the website.
Daisy Florist Wanstead – You can collect plants or flowers from Daisy Florist – a simple message on their Facebook will tell you what they have in stock.
Redbridge garden centre – is offering a collection service and gets regular deliveries in.
The Old Slate Yard – are offering a contactless delivery service for plants, flowers, herbs, and more.
Abridge Garden Centre – Also offering deliveries for all things gardening related – plants, flowers, compost, and seeds available.
Activites:
Creative Biscuit Ceramics Café – is offering local ‘takeaway kits’ to be collected or delivered to your door. The kits are pottery, which you can paint and they will then pick it up to finish in their kiln and then deliver back to your door! A cute idea which should keep the kids busy, and you may end up with some keepsakes! They are covering South Woodford, Woodford Green, Woodford, Wanstead, Leytonstone, Walthamstow, Highams Park, Chingford, Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill.
Other:
Sid & Evie's – A local children’s shop offering a delivery service on children’s toys, books, clothes, and shoes.
Mr Clean & Shines Shop – Usually hitting the local markets, Mr Clean & Shines now offers free delivery on cleaning products to ensure your home stays sparkling!
Chingford and South Woodford Delivery Office – Is still open but with a change in delivery hours.
The Cricketers, Woodford – Bring the pub to your home! The Cricketers is doing online pub quizzes on their Facebook every Sunday.
Penelope Wilde florist and balloon shop – Offering a huge selection of flowers, balloons, personalised gifts, and funeral tributes. Delivery available in Chingford, Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill, Loughton, Ilford, Romford, Woodford, Barkingside to Epping and many others.
Food:
William White Meats – A local butchers turned delivery service to get quality meat cuts, fruit & veg, and cupboard store essentials. Delivers to all areas!
Brownbread – Are usually found at the monthly farmer’s market but has started delivering out to most areas. Check out their Facebook to see if your postcode is included. Fresh bread, cakes or pastries available delivered to your door!
South Woodford & Woodford Green:
Heron's Nest - Cakes Made With Love – Delicious cakes and cupcakes delivery!
Lemon Seed – is a new café recently opened in Woodford, which offers takeaway options for all things lunches, bakery, and coffee!
Chattpatta kitchen – is open and offering contact free delivery of their freshly prepared meals from their various menu available.
Munchy Bakes – Especially useful for lockdown birthdays, but also good just to get a few treats, Munchy bakes are delivering cakes and baked goods. They’re also available for contactless pick up.
Wing Sing – Mouth-watering Chinese food on George Lane is now available for delivery – just go to the website for the menu and make your order via telephone.
Dada Cafe South Woodford – Offering a reduced menu online for collection. Perfect for lunch!
The Broadway Deli & Grocery – Have put many of their products online with more being added all the time. They are also offering fruit and veg boxes to be delivered. Simply go on their website to order.
The Bel Sit Pizzeria – One of the most popular pizzerias in Woodford Green is still delivering!
Demi's Pantry – A small business delivering essential food groceries to South Woodford and surrounding areas.
Meze Ocakbasi – Turkish Restaurant offering contactless takeaway – they’ll simply place your order in the boot of your car for you.
Cook Food – A fantastic service offering you food that will keep in your freezer until you’re ready to eat! They have asked those who can to click and collect to keep the delivery slots open to those in need.
Rosso Restaurant – Now offering takeaway and delivery services.
Woodford Green Mini Market – Is delivering via UberEats; useful for anyone who needs groceries and can’t get a local supermarket slot.
Bella Naples – Simple, family-run Italian restaurant serving wood-fired pizza and classic Mediterranean dishes. Food available for takeaway or delivery.
Wood Oven BBQ – Turkish restaurant offering kebabs as a takeaway service on UberEats.
Haz & Ollie – Offering a takeaway service from the café.
George's Fish & Souvlaki Bar - Old-school Greek food plus fish and chips available for takeaway on Just Eat.
Dynasty Restaurant – Chinese food available for delivery.
Wanstead:
Piccolo Ristorante – A small family restaurant which serves incredible authentic Italian food and definitely deserves to be supported. Offering the full menu, including alcoholic drinks and desserts, you can arrange delivery or collection to suit you.
Lakehouse E11 – offering special discounted meal offers to be delivered on a Saturday. Check out what they have on offer on their Facebook and order through Whatsapp, text, or phone call.
Robins Pie & Mash – Offering delivery to door.
Gail’s Bread – Pastries, bread, and everything else bakery available for home delivery or click and collect.
The Ginger Pig Butchers – is offering online orders for delivery on specially selected cuts of meat.
Luppolo Pizza – Lovely local Italian. The full menu is still available for delivery.
