Firstly, if you feel that you made a mistake with your selection of an estate agent, you need to discuss it with them. Lay your concerns out for them and see if the relationship can be repaired. It could simply be that they have tried everything within their power, but the market is not on your side, or perhaps they have another option to try to sell your home.
If that doesn't work and you still feel that you need to switch, serve your current agent their notice in writing and ask them to notify you of the final day that your home will be marketed with them. Then, begin your search for your new agent.
Opt for an agent with experience and knowledge of selling properties like yours, who has access to technology to help you along the way and doesn't simply rely on posting your property onto the property websites and waiting for a buyer to turn up.
