What? Adults’ Vintage Homemade Preserve Making Workshop

Come along and learn how to create three different vintage preserves. All ingredients and jars will be provided for this fun workshop. Guided by a professional through instruction and demonstration you will prepare and process seasonal fruit and vegetables into delicious preserves that you will take home with you at the end of the day!
 
What? Get Ready for Halloween

This annual event is back with a bump! Or is that a boo? Bring your little monsters to enjoy an afternoon of fun; with arts and crafts, games and activities, facepainting and spooktabulous cakes from the legendary Mill bakers. Dress up in your favourite Halloween costume to complete the night – the scarier the better!
 
What? Strongbox

Strongbox are a 5-piece, female-fronted Pop, Party with a smattering of rock covers band, based in Essex/East London. Come along and party with them at the Old Hall Tavern, Chingford. They will be playing a great selection of well-known songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s, even 00s. Should be a great evening of entertainment, fun and dancing.
 
What? Waltham Forest Cello Fest
Where? Chingford Parish Church, The Green, Chingford

Cello recital played by international solo artist Frantisek Brikcius as part of the Waltham Forest Cello Fest. Waltham Forest Cello Fest forms part of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days, which commemorate the legacy of journalist, musician Daniel Pearl, brutally murdered by group of terrorists for defending freedom of speech. Commemorating certain historical musicians, this is not one to be missed.
 
What? Hocus Pocus

Voyage into the unknown with this dreamlike spectacle, a bewitching gem of a family show, in which gravity dissolves, bodies bravely contort and optical illusions conjure other worlds. Leaving room for the imaginations of children to soar, this international hit features two dextrous performers, vivid costumes and eerie props.
 
What? We’re All Bats
Where? Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture
When? Saturday 5th October - Sunday 3rd November 2019
Inspired by bats and the way in which they use sound to find their way around the world and live their lives, this project helps us to try and do the same. Highlights include exploring the borough through music events, walks guided by sound and underwater music at a swimming pool. You will also be able to create sound with synthesizer and instrument making workshops or experience sound differently with an audio massage or the special surround sound programme.
 
What? Have I Got A Trick For You!

Comedy, stage magic and mind-reading combine into one hilarious and spellbinding show from award-winning magician and entertainer Eric Walton, for all the family to enjoy.
Since 2017, Eric Walton has been delighting and mystifying audiences weekly with this mesmerising show at Times Square Magic in New York City and is very excited to bring it to the UK for the very first time.
 
What? Gilwell Park Fireworks 2019
Where? Gilwell Park, Bury Road, Chingford
When? Sunday 27th October 2019
Join for a spectacular fireworks and laser display with music and visual effects – a unique experience for all age ranges. The fireworks display will start at 7pm – with gates open from 4pm to enjoy a range of adventurous activities from Rock Climbing to High Ropes and Dodgems, plus a bar and catering vans. All the bonfire fun can be had early at Gilwell Park.
