The best local spots to ‘Eat Out to Help Out’!

Plenty of the area’s top restaurants are participating in the Eat Out To Help Out programme, here are a few of our favourites...

With the Eat Out To Help Out scheme available in restaurants, pubs, and cafés in August, now is a great time to go and try the best restaurants our local areas have to offer, and support small businesses which have struggled during the pandemic.

Cafes, pubs and restaurants will offer 50% off all food and drink, apart from alcohol, up to £10 off per person. The scheme is running every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout August. You don't have to do anything to claim your discount, just look out for venues taking part and book yourself a tasty bargain! The government has estimated it will help protect 1.8 million jobs across the UK, in around 130,000 businesses.

Of course, it’s a big area and listing every single food venue participating would be impossible, so you can use this postcode checker to find out which of your local restaurants are participating in Eat Out To Help Out. We have gathered together some of our local favourites though, in case you’re wondering where to book:

Named as one of the best breakfast places in the area, Café On The Lane uses fresh products, cooked with care and attention. They also offer various lunch dishes including sandwiches, but also offer breakfast all day for those late risers! There’s a lovely outside sitting area for those wanting to enjoy this great weather.
