How we marked Remembrance Day yesterday…

At Neil King, we made sure to observe the 2-minute silence and wear our poppies alongside our special window display marking the day, despite the restrictions.

“In this time of adversity, no virus can stop us from honouring their memory, particularly when we have just celebrated the 75th anniversary of victory in the second world war,” our PM mentioned during the ceremony in London, and we also stand by those words.

Despite the hard times that have been thrown upon us in 2020, we are making it through together, just as families did after the second world war all those years ago. Nothing should stop us paying homage to those who lost their lives fighting against evil, never returning home from battle.

We hope our window display went some way to showing veterans and their families that they are not alone in remembering the victory achieved by those brave men.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them."

Thank you for sacrificing so much for our freedom.

From all the team at Neil King.
